Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Your privacy matters. Slomo is built to keep your subscription data on your device and to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains exactly what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how the Slomo mobile application ("Slomo," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App.
Slomo is designed to be local-first. Your subscription data lives primarily on your device. We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the App and its optional sync, account, and purchase features.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information described below, and only for the purposes listed in this Policy.
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and an authentication identifier through our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not store your password in plain text.
- Subscription entries: The subscription names, amounts, categories, billing cycles, and renewal dates that you choose to enter. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, also synced to your account.
- App preferences: Your theme, currency, and notification preferences. Stored locally on your device.
- Purchase information: When you purchase Slomo Pro, our in-app purchase provider (RevenueCat) and Apple or Google process the transaction. We receive a non-financial entitlement confirmation (e.g. "Pro: active") and an anonymous user identifier so we can grant access. We never receive or store your full payment card information.
- Diagnostic information: If you opt in to crash reporting through your device settings, anonymous crash and performance data may be shared with Apple or Google. We do not collect crash data ourselves.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit about what Slomo does not do:
- We do not connect to your bank account.
- We do not read or scan your email.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, location, or microphone.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs to track you across other apps or websites.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
- Sync your data across devices that you sign in to with the same account.
- Process and verify your in-app purchases and grant Slomo Pro entitlements.
- Send local notifications you have configured (such as renewal reminders). Notifications are scheduled on your device.
- Communicate with you about important updates, security notices, or your requests for support.
- Comply with legal obligations.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate the App. Each is bound by their own privacy and security commitments:
- Supabase — provides authentication and optional cloud sync of your subscription data.
- RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase entitlements (e.g. whether you are a Pro subscriber).
- Apple App Store and Google Play — process all purchases and may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and synced subscription data for as long as your account is active. Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete the associated data from our backend within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live (for example, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California), you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including:
- The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
- The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information.
- The right to export your data (Slomo supports CSV export from within the App).
- The right to opt out of certain processing of your personal information.
8. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data in transit between your device and our backend is encrypted using TLS.
However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
9. Children's Privacy
Slomo is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or under the minimum age required by law in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
If you use Slomo from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your country of residence. By using Slomo, you consent to such transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, if the changes are material, we will notify you within the App or by email. Your continued use of Slomo after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
12. Contact Us
